Politics

My father was a Democrat. He believed that because he was a Mexican American he needed to be a Democrat. He also believed that the Republican party was for the rich.

I disagreed with him. I am a Mexican American, I am a Republican and I’m far from being rich. I’m also a conservative candidate, and I will do my best to represent the city and county of El Paso, in Austin.

Growing up

I came to the United States at the age of seven with my two brothers (from Mexico). My mother married a wonderful man who became my adopted “dad”. I went to elementary, middle school and high school in El Paso. I graduated from El Paso High School. After graduating from high school I joined the Navy, became an Aircraft Electrician, was stationed at Okinawa, Japan, and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Once my enlistment was over (Honorable), I enrolled at the University of Texas at El Paso, transferred to Texas Tech University, and studied Textile Management. I ended up graduating from UTEP with a degree in business management with a minor in accounting.
